The Immortal Clarks Shoes
Let me tell you about my collection of immortal Clarks shoes.
I have more than a dozen pairs of these shoes that refuse to leave my house (and I'm happy about it!). They seem to never age, never break and never die. From the beginning I was amazed about how soft they were inside, like a glove on my foot...no tough seams hurting my feet. That's very important for me because I often get blisters on my feet from protruding seams or sharp borders. These shoes were soft and nice to my feet from day one...And the older they got, the softer and more comfortable they got.
I have this 11-year-old pair of leather clogs. They're a bit wrinkly (I haven't treated them well!) but still in good shape. I'm not a person that sits down to polish shoes or put any kind of leather protection on them, so I'm surprised they last so long and in such good shape. I clean them, but that's it. They' been through mud, sand, hot asphalt, snow and of course, water, ..since I sometimes I used to wear them when I gardened. Now I live in the city and they do perfectly well on the hot sidewalks of summer days and they don't let me fall on the slippery polished marble floors of shopping centers.
I fell in love with this pair of shoes quickly after I bought them and started collecting similar ones since then. My newest pair is a little less than a month old. All my pairs look like new, or close to brand new, and they're incredibly comfortable. And I love them more each month because they get softer with time. I do wear other shoes, including heels and office style pumps, sometimes but I always come back to the comfort of my Clarks.
I'm convinced these shoes will be with me the rest of my life. Incredible quality and they prices are awesome. Forever together...it must be love!
My family has become a fan too, particularly my father, whose biggest smiles I get each time I give him a pair for Xmas, Father's day or his birthday. I gave him his first pair of Clarks when he was still working as a manager, all day on his feet. His mood improved dramatically! LOL Now he's retired but he is hooked on them! Note: he still has that first pair I gave him 10 years ago and they look awesome (he does take care of them, unlike me!).
