Gamer's Delight! Best-selling headsets for video gaming!
Here you go! i need to replace my headset, so I've been surfing Amazon for you (and me!) and found a couple of headsets that seem for precision gaming! I also reviewed several online guides (Tom's Guide, PC Gamer and TechTrader) and was happy to see that my picks were among theirs! I've added links to the items in Amazon so you can read more about them and purchase them if you want.
Listed as #1 best-selling headset for Playstation is the Bengoo Stereo Gaming headset. It works with PlayStation 4, New Xbox One, PC, Nintendo 3DS, Laptop, PSP, Tablet, iPad, Computer and mobile phones, and with a specific adapter, you can use it with older versions of Xbox. Surround Stereo Sound mechanism provides a clear sound with awesome ambient noise isolation, and acoustic positioning. Perfect for games like Halo 5 Guardians, Metal Gear Solid, World of Warcraft and others. The onmi-directional microphone can transmits high quality communication with its premium noise-concellng feature. The design allows for comfort and earpiece lighting adds to the game environment. The 49-inch anti-winding USB cable is strong and durable and you can control volume with a rotary mechanism or with mute it with a key stroke.
The next one that called my attention was the Logitech G430 7.1 DTS Headset. I was happy to see it was TechTrader's #3 pick in their 2018 list of best gaming headsets. Not only am I a Logitech fan and long-time user, but the Dolby surround sound with a 360 degree sound field is a plus for me. I'm more interested in how things work than how they look, and although Logitech doesn't look as "gamy" as other headsets, I feel I've put my money into technology rather than looks. The noise-cancelling microphone rotates out of the way for those moments when you need to focus intensely and just can't talk! Volume dial and mute switch are on the cable, so it's easy to control..plus I'm used to such switches on the cable. This one is only for Playstation4 as well as Windows games (Windows 10, 8, 7 and Vista) so, sorry Xbox fans, this one is not for you.
Here...keep reading! :)
This is the Okinuma Gaming Headset. It does have on-cable controls (just like I like it!). It is designed for multiple platforms including Nintendo Switch (audio), Nintendo New 3DS LL/3DS (audio), Nintendo 3DS LL/3DS (audio), Windows PC, Mac OS PC, iOS device, Android device, PS4, PS vita, PSP and Xbox One For use with Xbox One, you will need accessory support (this item is in the Amazon page!). The noise-cancelling microphone and the bionic protein-coated memory foam for the ears completes the headset for clear comms and comfortable gaming for hours and hours and hours..and hours.
Last but not least in my list of favorite headsets listed by me (!) and coinciding with the opinion of other technology reviewers, is the HyperX Cloud Revolver S gaming headset. It works for PC games, and for Playstation4, PS4 Pro, Xbox One and Xbox S games. It has Dolby surround sound (studio quality), light noise-cancelling microphone and memory foam ear pads. It's the most expensive of the headsets I loved but it's worth every penny!
I must add that most recommendations in the various sites I visited, mention Logitech and SteelSeries Arctic most frequently, with several different models. My picks coincided with their top picks as well, but all gamers are different and have different styles and preferences when it comes to sound and video.
