Getting a new Comforter? Check these out!

Here are some gorgeous comforters of different design styles. Each photo is followed by a link to Society6 post by an independent artist.

But let's see first... Every now and then we all feel like giving our home a new look and feel and comforters are large pieces that we don't change often. An average comforter, statistics show, lasts 10-15 years and many people have them as a cherished bedroom decor item. However, there are many reasons to change a comforter earlier than the expected time.

Restless sleepers and people who sleep on their side tend to wear their comforters and other bedding items earlier than others. In general, comforters tend to wear off on the top border, where we place our arms.
If there are kids or pets in the house, and they're allowed to jump into the bed now and then, that also shortens the lifespan of a comforter.

If you sleep over the comforter, or lay there to read or watch TV, then your comforter will last less than expected as well.

Uneven padding, seeing the light through the comforter, fading colors and obviously worn borders are signs your comforter may be getting old.
Changing your comforters and other bedding items is not just about refreshing your home decor, but also about health. Even if you wash them, these items tend to accumulate shed skin cells, hair and dust, which we can wash off. Washing your comforter helps to slow down this process, but as the time goes by, washing is not as useful because of changes in the fibers and just a matter of build-up. over the years. Frequent washing, airing and replacing your comforters are the best ways to help you prevent allergies and asthma resulting from this aging of the comforter.

Society6 comforters are filled with poly-fill and lined with 100% microfiber polyester. These materials are not only totally washable, fluffy, soft to the touch, lightweight and suitable for crisp image printing, but also..they are non-allergenic. They're easy to wash right at home using a gentle cycle and a mild detergent.

The art in Society6 comforters is made by thousands of independent artists in the USA (like me!) and all over the world. Each time you buy anything there, the artist receives a small royalty...so you're getting an high-quality product that is not mass-produced (it's printed only on demand). not found in stores and helping artists too!
